We have time for you!  As a non-profit, teacher-led community school, Minnesota Online High School has invested in a very low student-teacher and student-counselor ratios. We do this so you can get the attention you need. Compare our student-teacher ratio (10.5 to 1) to the Minnesota average (16 to 1) or to other models of “virtual” learning (60 to 1, or worse).

We make time for each student. The arithmetic is simple: Because MNOHS’ student-teacher ratio is low, we are able to connect one-on-one with each student. Our teachers and counselors develop significant learning relationships with you to help ensure your success.

MNOHS is also uniquely committed to helping you build your learning networks, online and in your local community.

  • Our Peer Leaders Program matches successful MNOHS students with incoming MNOHS students.  If you are new to MNOHS, make connections with your peers and learn to navigate MNOHS and online learning with the support of a returning student.
  • You can also connect with other MNOHS students in Student Leadership Council and in student-led clubs, groups and online social time.  All are welcome, always!
  • Through Guided Study and Work Experience you can earn MNOHS credit for community-based learning while connecting with people outside of MNOHS who are invested in your success.
