Weekly Virtual Class Meeting: None
Time Commitment: 5 – 8 well-focused hours per week
Attendance: Simply logging in to your courses does not count as attending. Attendance is based on submitting assignments and is taken on a weekly basis. Submit all of your work by the weekly due date to be marked with good attendance.
Prerequisites: Grade 10 or above; previous algebra course helpful

Terms: This course is one quarter in length
In this quarter length class, students learn and practice skills needed for college entrance and placement tests, future math classes, and life beyond high school. We’ll take an in depth look at some of the most important concepts that are essential pieces in your math toolkit! Focus will be placed on understanding why and how math works, not simply on computing answers. Story problems, articles, and exploration will regularly be used to see how math connects to college, careers, everyday life and current events.
Course materials: There is no textbook for this course. Students will be provided with online resources including notes, videos and tutorials.
Standards Met: This course partially meets high school math standards by addressing selected portions of the Minnesota Academic Standards in Algebra and in Geometry and Measurement.
