MNOHS Advisory
Designed to prepare students for life after high school through college and career planning, financial aid awareness, and personal readiness skills.
Minnesota Online High School provides a continuum of special education services for students who qualify. Because we are an online high school and do not have a bricks-and-mortar site, for some students this may mean contracting with or purchasing programming from other entities. Students are expected to stay in close touch with their special education case managers while enrolled in our school.
In addition to working with the MNOHS special education staff to develop and implement IEPs, students who qualify may enroll in these MNOHS courses which provide additional support:
Designed to prepare students for life after high school through college and career planning, financial aid awareness, and personal readiness skills.
Focuses on foundational math for daily life and Algebra readiness, including problem solving, decimals, percents, fractions, money skills, and basic geometry.
A continuation course that extends practical math and Algebra-readiness work with additional individualized practice based on student needs and IEP goals.
Builds independent living skills through real-world applications such as budgeting, managing finances, and future planning.
Develops reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and phonics through high-interest literature and weekly teacher-guided virtual meetings.
