Advanced Chinese 1
This year-long advanced Chinese language and culture course is designed for students who have completed a Chinese language immersion program and are ready to continue developing advanced proficiency. Developed in collaboration with Yinghua Academy Chinese Immersion School, the course uses authentic Chinese texts, performance-based learning, and real-world communication to strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students explore social, cultural, and economic topics while expanding vocabulary, refining grammar, and building confidence through interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication. Regular participation in synchronous class meetings and active use of the Chinese language are essential components of the course.
