Teens face many choices when it comes to health, and health information seems to change daily. There are always new theories, discoveries, treatments and products. In this course you will gain the skills necessary to think critically and make healthy, evidence-based decisions. You will consider what a healthy lifestyle is and how to maintain one throughout your life. Topics for consideration include: defining wellness; healthy eating; addiction, prevention and recovery; infectious and non-infectious diseases; mental health; first aid, safety and CPR; media and information literacy; sexuality and sexual health; life skills; and healthy dating and family relationships.
