Advanced PE is designed to enhance lifelong physical activity. It is intended for the student who is physically active 4-5 days a week for 220 minutes or more each week in a personal fitness routine or in a sport-related activity. The course is designed for the student to obtain credit for their consistent exercise/fitness each week by daily journaling, reflection, and completing an activity log. This is an elective course and does not meet the physical education high school graduation requirement.

Credit: Advanced Physical Education is an elective course that is eight weeks long, and worth 0.25 credits. Students have eight weeks (one quarter on the calendar) to complete it. The grade given at the end of the quarter is a final grade which is recorded on your transcript.

Prerequisites: MNOHS Physical Education Parts 1 & 2 or an equivalent high school course focusing on lifetime fitness.
