In this semester-length course, students will develop their knowledge of body systems, body functions, and common human diseases and disorders, in preparation for future health care programs of study. Common medical vocabulary terms as they relate to body systems will be presented at a beginning level. Students will analyze word parts to develop contextual understanding of medical terms, and will develop critical thinking through case studies, experiential learning and the applications of terms and concepts.
